Cooking Instructions: Rinse 1 cup of lentils under cool water. Combine lentils with 3 cups of water or broth. Bring to a boil and add seasonings (garlic or bay leaves). Do not add salt at this stage. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-25 minutes until tender. Drain lentils, return to pan, and add salt to taste.

very well packaged. Made red lentil soup with these. Delicious. Packaged very well so will buy some more for my Prep cabinet. red lentils take a shorter time to cook versus black which are great to have in emergency.
